Lagarde is looking for a senior DevOps engineer to join our team at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This is a full-time telework position. Federal contracting experience is preferred but is not required.
The ideal candidate would have the ability to:
- Effectively explain complex technical matters to non-technical stakeholders
- Identify issues and blockers and implement effective solutions
- Work independently with limited direction, knowing when to seek guidance or escalate
- Work with remote teams
Job Description
In this role, you would work CMS technical leadership to assess, define, implement, and/or support the Enterprise DevSecOps program for CMS. This might include:
- Providing consultative solutions in line with CMS best practices and governance to help agency divisions implement DevOps capabilities.
- Supporting initiatives to adopt tools and practices throughout the transition to DevOps.
- Encouraging secure product development with CI/CD methodology and architecture to define best practices across DevOps platforms.
- Consulting in the design and implementation of DevOps platforms.
- Working with other CMS contractors to migrate components to a cloud hosting platform.
- Assisting CMS divisions with IT projects, from simple to large-scale, enterprise-level programs.
- Demonstrating example frameworks and governance principles that cover areas such as integrating security into build automation, deployment automation, test automation, SDLC orchestration, environment management, monitoring, and production release procedures.
In addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate would have experience to act in a consultative capacity with clients.
Qualifications
Required:
- Web application development experience
- Exposure/working understanding of container technology such as Docker, OpenShift, ECS, EKS
- Exposure to vulnerability and threat assessment/remediation
- Exposure to governance, reporting, and escalation best practices
- Experience in administration of one or more of the following: Windows, Linux, UNIX
- At least two years of experience with:
- NoSQL, Grafana Dashboard, GitHub, Secret Scanning, Container Scanning, Docker Image Security
- Identifying best practices and implementation gaps
- Working with Agile methodologies and transformations
- At least three years of experience with:
- Configuration and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Maven, Ant, Git, Sonatype).
Bonus points if you have:
- AWS Certification

- Must be eligible for a security clearance
